SYNOPSIS

The IEM Webinar  program meant to provide the participants with basic awareness on Plastic Waste Policy, Effect and Management in Malaysia. The speaker will also discuss on a number of related aspects of HSE issues such as HSE management system, enforcement of HSE system, risk assessment and management system being important HSE issues the industry. The session would also touch upon the role of managers in managing the policy, operation, and training that are pre-requisite to successful implementation of HSE in particular matters related to plastic waste management.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Ir. Prof. Dr Ab Saman Bin Abd Kader

The speaker is a Professor in Marine Transport System at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor. He possess 3rd  Class Marine Engineers on top of B.Eng, Masters and PhD in various marine related areas. He used to sail on board a ship for a year on internship program and later joining UTM as an academic staff since 1983 until now. He has taught a number of undergraduate courses in the Marine Technology program at UTM including 'Marine Safety and Environment' at the post graduate level.  He has been involved in a number of marine related R&D, consultancy as well as being in various management positions at UTM.
