Evolution of building maintenance over then span of many decades has been tremendous, from non-digital era to now digital savvy age. Building maintenance is utmost critical in ensuring your building operates safely and reliably to lower risk of business disruption and human safety especially today, where we are living in digital age. With digitization, there are more than 50 billion connected devices around the globe. The demand for power has become so critical and maintenance can no longer be business as usual as it used to be. Without maintaining and upgrading electrical infrastructure in your building, you are exposed to risk and potentially losing millions in revenue. The talk will elaborate what  you can and should do for your building in preparing  for immediate ramp up of operation, what you can do next to drive safety and reliability and finally, how do we digitize and more predictive maintenance.

Mr. Chin graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia with a Bachelor Degree (Hons) in Electric and Electronic Engineering in 2007. He has since actively involved in electrical system design. Majoring in Power Distribution in his degree, John has 13 years of electric distribution design in his experience. His expertise include design for electric distribution system, coordination of protection devices, selection of equipment, and service maintenance for electric infrastructure. He is actively working with consultants, contractors, panel builders and end users. His role and responsibilities include innovate the best fit solution for the market reflecting to the latest trends, needs and pain points of the market John’s area of expertise also include troubleshooting for on-site installation and technical design queries (IEC 61439 & IEC60364 Standards) as well as short circuit and power demand calculation, and, protection scheme design for robust and reliable distribution system.
