Ir. Johan Adam Leong
BEng (Hons), MSc, MBA, CEng, FIChemE, MIEM, APEC Eng, IntPE (MY)

Ir. Johan Adam Leong has 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, in both commissioning and upstream production operations. He joined Malaysia Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd (MSE) after graduation in 2002 as Commissioning Engineer. In 2005, he joined Talisman Energy under Operations department. His responsibility was to provide daily technical support and long term planning to offshore production facilities. His responsibilities varied, included safe production delivery, daily production optimization & troubleshooting and managing Work Program & Budget. He was made the company’s youngest Offshore Installation Manager in 2011, overseeing safe and efficient operations for Song Doc A offshore asset in Vietnam and subsequently promoted to Operations Superintendent 3 years later. While with Repsol Oil & Gas Malaysia Limited, he was the Operations Manager for Block PM305/314, South Angsi A. During this stint, his tasks included the reverse transition of operatorship and initiating asset plug & abandonment (P&A) review process. He is currently the Operations Superintendent for EnQuest Petroleum Production Malaysia Ltd.
