Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 has to be adapted by Small & Medium Entrepreneurships and Manufacturers in Malaysia in order to keep up with the current trend of industrial growth. These SMEs industries has huge influential role in Malaysia economy where their contribution has exceed more than 35% in 2018. Many of the players are not up to date on the modern automation technology and this will halt the growth within their company. In developing countries, the adoption towards IR 4.0 is getting wider and this growth had shown significant positive changes in the countries’ economic. In Malaysia, manufacturing sector contributed more than 20% to the GDP and adapting IR 4.0 approach will definitely benefit the company and nation. Earlier, Just-In-Time approach was implemented to encourage continuous improvement to seek small incremental changes which leads to improved quality. However, a break-through improvement with high level of automation can enhance industrial growth.
