IEM, as part of its social and community service, in conjunction with P3KU are glad to organise a happy charity food and fun fair carnival to help raise funds for the P3KU home. There will be food, games, music and dance performances, “introduction to engineering”, road safety videos, lucky draws and many other exciting events to fill up your day. All payments for food and games are by P3KU coupons sold at RM20 per book. Booths are also available for rental for food and services, if you wish to participate by booking a booth. All music and dance performances and videos are FOC to keep you entertained for the whole day. Please come and support the P3KU home for a charitable cause.


P3KU Background, Initiative, Aims & Objectives

P3KU was started by a group of parents in Subang Jaya to create public awareness & recognition on special needs children. They have a team of Working Committees comprising parents of special needs children. To date, they have a total number of 45 members and 48 special needs children. This number is growing with more enrolments. The special needs children are of disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD and Slow Learner special needs category. Membership is opened to all parents or caregivers with special needs children.
 
Initiative

• To provide a training platform for future employment opportunity of special needs children.

Aims

• To promote continuous and effective planning & training to benefit our special needs children, their parents and caregivers.
• To develop and lay the fundamentals in creating independence skills, self-management & regaining their worthiness.

Objectives

• To have a permanent resource centre for members' children to carry out our activities & trainings.
• To raise general public awareness and to encourage the observations of better understanding to the needs and rights of children with disabilities.
• To actively seek funding necessary to operate our centre for the accomplishment of our development vision.
• To endlessly encourage parents to be more pro-active in caring for the needs of their children with special needs/disabilities.
