SYNOPSIS

Primavera is comprehensive, high performance, multi-project planning and control software. Primavera software application tools include Primavera P3 (Primavera Project Planner) project software that supports an unlimited number of projects, project groups or programs, activities, baselines, resources, and user-defined WBS and activity codes. Primavera has capability to handle large-scale, highly sophisticated and multifaceted projects, to organize projects up to 100,000 activities, providing unlimited resources and an unlimited number of target plans. Primavera gives a multitude of ways to organize, filter and sort activities, projects, and resources. It has a rich graphical interface to plan and manage and report on projects. It provides coloured bands to organize data by project code, activity code, resource, cost accounts, WBS. It also offers powerful scheduling and resource levelling options, including backward resource levelling, smoothing and the ability to level selected portions of a project. Through Primavera P3 (Primavera Project Planner) talk/course/workshop, how projects are structured, how schedule is implemented and managed as well as how schedule is managed will be extensively discussed with the aid of  Primavera P3 (Primavera Project Planner) software. At the end of the talk/course/workshop, the participant will be exposed to enterprise project structure and organizational breakdown structure set up, resources and roles definition, WBS review, budgets definition, project codes and activity establishment, calendar creation, cost accounts and project expenses, top-down estimation, baselines management, updating, scheduling, levelling, project summary, project’s document library maintenance, projects tracking, projects comparison, reflections creation and use, projects in and out checking, layouts, grouping, sorting, filtering and finally project publication on the web. Repetition through ?hands-on? training is the only way to become proficient in scheduling where participants may perform ?real-life? case studies, which are included in materials as additional practice building a schedule.
