SYNOPSIS

As Malaysia is moving towards a developed country by 2020, education becomes one of the most important aspects in achieving this goal. Engineering education becomes more appealing among the students in pursuing their study into tertiary level nowadays with many Malaysian private Higher Education Institutes (HEI) started to offer various engineering programmes to meet the high demand. Prior to conduct engineering programmes, an institute should obtain approval from Boards of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) through Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) who assesses and accredits Engineering programmes offered by the institute. Engineering Education Technical Division of IEM has initiated to organize a Workshop on Preparing EAC Self Assessment Report. The objective of this workshop is to assist the participants in preparing a more holistic self assessment report for EAC submission purpose. This workshop is aimed to give a better insight on the procedures and preparations for accreditation evaluation.
