The Institution of  Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) is 58 years this year old! As part of the preparation for the celebration, Young Engineer Section (YES) is inviting interested members to participate in the competition to design an exclusive tie for IEM Members.

Champion              RM1400
1st Runner-up        RM900
2nd Runner-up       RM 400
Consolation prize    1) RM150

Rules of Competition
1) There is no limit to the number of entries which may be submitted by a single individual. The competition is opened for all IEM members and non IEM members.
2) Vibrant Professional is the key requirement. It should be versatile for formal and semi-formal wear. It should reflect the spirit and function of Engineers and may consider the past, present and future role of IEM  to the society and nation.
3) The tie must contain the logo of IEM. The IEM logo must be visible when sitting and standing.
4) Closing date of submission is 31st August 2017.


Copyright
- Only original entries will be considered. The winning entries will become the sole property of the IEM.
- The IEM reserves the right to make any necessary alterations to the winning tie design for proper formatting related purposes without obtain the consent of the winning entrant.  


Selection of Winning Entries

- Judging will be done by the IEM Council Members and YES committee members.
- Rules which are not adhered to by the entrant will result in exclusion from the competition.
- The winning entrant will be duly notified of his success as well as the date when the prize will be handed over.
