SYNOPSIS

Compressed air is an important source of energy for engineering field since industrialization age. The energy contained in the compressed air can be used for a variety of applications, utilizing the kinetic energy of the air as it is released and the tank depressurizes. Air compressors has many uses, including high pressure clean air for breathing purposed, for driving some office and school building pneumatic HVAC control system, for large-scale industrial processes, process control and pneumatic tools applications.

When used outdoor, diesel powered air compressor is the best choice, nevertheless, its limitation is its size and weight, with the new invention of professional direct current air compressor, it opens up a new horizons of air compressor application at outdoor. It could drive professional power tools at a fraction of weight of traditional diesel air compressor with a small 12V battery.

The speaker will unveil this breakthrough technology design and its new outdoor applications at the talks.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Ir. Kim Kek Seong is a Sales & Technical Manager of Enovate PLT dealing with various innovative engineering products. He has more than 17 years of hands-on experience in various mechanical and chemical process engineering improvements as well as personal safety and industrial hygiene management. He graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, UTM, with a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering. He is a P.Eng in Chemical Engineering, Member of IEM, honorary member of AFEO, Member of Malaysia Industrial Hygiene Association (MIHA). He currently is an active committee member in the IEM, the current Secretary of Membership Application Board (MAB), Secretary of Disaster Risk Reduction Advisory Board (DRRAB), Member of Training Board (TB) as well as various Sub-Committees and Boards.
