SYNOPSIS

Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) was established in May 2006 with the primary responsibility of developing the nation’s water infrastructure in Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territory of Labuan. The components in Loji Rawatan Air Langat 2 (LRAL 2) or Langat 2 Phase 1 Project are Water Treatment Plant (1130 MLD), two (2) nos. of Balancing Reservoirs, five (5) nos. of Service Reservoirs and around 60km of treated water distribution mains. Phase 1 Langat 2 Project is scheduled to be completed by March 2014 to synchronized with the completion of Pahang- Selangor Raw Water Transfer (PSRWT) Scheme.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Haji Kamaruddin bin Haji Abdul Razak had received his early education in Johor and then continued his study at University Technology of Malaysia (UTM) in 1977 for his Diploma in Civil Engineering before continuing jhis study at University of Glasgow in Scotland, United Kingdom in 1983 for his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. In 1990 he continued his study for Masters of Science in Public Health and Environmental Control Engineering at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.

He started his humble journey in his career as a Technical Assistant, Traffic Management Department, Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL ) in 1980 prior to continuing his Bachelor’s Degree course. In 1983, he came back after his graduation and joined DBKL as a Civil Engineer, Sewerage and Drainage Department.

In 1992, he joined KLCC Berhad as a Senior Engineer, Infrastructure & Services Department. In 1994 he was promoted to Project Manager and Senior Project Manager. Since then he developed and embarked his professional career and grown with KLCC Berhad as a General Manager of Technical Services Department and General Manager of Migration Team which he was responsible as the Head of Migration Team for the movement of Prime Minister’s Offices to the new Administrative Capital in Putrajaya.

In 1999 he joined a construction company, Perintis Teknik Sdn Bhd as the Managing Director. In 2006, he joined WWE Holdings Berhad as a Project Director, managing the Design and Build contract for the Construction and Completion of Sewerage Treatment Plant in Jelutong, Penang. He joined Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) in 2008 as the Project Director of Project Loji Rawatan Air Langat 2 (LRAL2). The project consists of Water Treatment Plant in Selangor and Water Distribution Systems supplying treated water for the State of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
