Synopsis

The Vertical Transportation System (VTS) industry is always on the move. New standards and technologies are driving buildings to greater heights and efficiencies than ever before. Standards in safety for both users and maintainers of the systems are being improved. Audit and Inspection of lifts by independent specialists bridges the gap between owners of VTS and the companies that maintain them by providing a platform for owners of VTS to have a better understanding of their installed equipment. Green technologies in VTS bring down operational costs which benefits new installations as well as opens avenues for upgrading existing installations. Options to upgrade existing VTS installations to make them safer and efficient are increasing. Multi Car Lifts in the same shaft offers increased building efficiencies by their space saving capabilities. There are many different approaches which are being explored and working models being developed. Time spent in lift lobbies and while travelling in lift cars raises anxiety. Total time to destination is an effective consideration for optimising the passenger experience. Visual simulation is another emerging trend to enhance the overall ride experience. Let’s explore together.
