PURPOSE OF VISIT
TANGKAS in KD PELANDOK of Royal Malaysian Navy located at Lumut Naval Base, Perak. This facility has two types of simulators namely Damage Control Training Unit (DCTU) and Fire Fighting Training Unit (FFTU), a three dimensional motion, the only one in Malaysia.
BOUSTEAD NAVAL SHIPYARD SDN BHD builds and repairs ships for defense and maritime market. Some of the types of naval vessels it builds are patrol vessels and fast troop carriers. The company was founded in 1984 and is based in Lumut, Perak. Both these facilities will be provide a great experience and knowledge to IEM members especially in the areas such as damage control, firefighting and vessels building.
Note:
The visit is strictly limited to only 30 participants registered and registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
