SYNOPSIS

The latest technology of structural media to be presented here is a smart water management system with optimum mix of air and water to ensure perfect plant growth. Together with automatic irrigation, it provides minimum maintenance and enables the reuse of rainwater or treated storm water for vertical and rooftop greenery.

• Further technology employed includes a sensor to monitor the moist content which
   can be access thru smart devices from the comfort of your home.
• Alternatively the system can be engineered as greywater treatment for non-potable
   use in washing car and flushing.
• The re-cycled water is best used for gardening and greening the city with landscapes,
   green roofs and green walls or eventually urban farming in order to conserve potable water.
• By selecting the right plant species, green roofs and vertical walls can be doubled up to become
   an organic greywater treatment system to treat effluents from laundry and domestic discharges.
• Energy saving is indirectly resulted by having these green roofs and vertical gardens to cool down
   the building and lower the ambient temperature.
• The presentation will finish with a description of the technologies and case studies promoted by
   Ecoclean using a soilless vertical garden system powered by a patented technology called
   Vydro Substrate.


ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Jay has studied Bachelor of Theology from the University of Sheffields, UK. He furthered his study later and graduated from University of Wales, UK with a Masters degree in Missional Leadership. He has more than 8 years expérience in pioneering and managing Community Development projects in London and Sheffield for marginalized community members. He also runs a community centre in Dengkil  empowering single mothers and troubled youths to acquire skills in horticulture and  eco engineering products powered by Vydro and ELT Systems. He set-up a biotech lab with a team of microbiologist for effective microbes and bio energy crops range of products and services in Kolkatta, India ( Symbio Greentech Pvt Ltd ).
