SYNOPSIS

Modipalm Engineering Sdn Bhd was formerly known as CBIP. The company has established for 30 years history. The humble background of CBIP was started from fabricating spare parts and servicing of palm oil mill up to one of the largest palm oil mill contractor in the word, capable of producing 12 mills a year from 10 ton/hr to 120 ton/hr mill. Total no. of staffs are 150 including foreign workers from Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Vietnamese.

Modipalm Engineering Sdn Bhd not only having the facility to produce spare parts, machine and to mill but it has the specialty in its Modipalm Continuous Sterilization (CS) System which was a joint patent holder with MPOB since year 1999. The Modipalm CS system is created to improve the older generation of batch horizontal sterilizer under the following points:

i)    Automated continuous process that reduces the man power
ii)    Safety where it is sterilize under atmospheric pressure instead of pressurized.
        Where most of the accident happen in the sterilization station
iii)    Produce superior oil quality
iv)    Uses small footprint and simple foundation design
v)    Less maintenance as less moving parts being used in the CS

They wish to share upon our success by introducing manufacturing process. What is means by manufacturing? Meaning it is term as standardization of the product with the optimal performance and mass production it. The economical of scale today is very important as the competition is getting stiffer. With mass production, the chances of error will be lesser and of course the cost can be optimized. Each department in Modipalm is segregated well with its job function. Hence, they are specialized, example in assembly of screw press section. The section with only 5 workers received the parts from various supporting section and only handling the assembly. With an average output of 15 units per month with only 5 workers to assemble almost 80 parts into a machine.
