Abstract
Over the years, it has been observed that many graduate engineers are unable to present themselves for the Professional Interview (PI) conducted by the IEM because they possess insufficient design experience, which is a prerequisite. This intensive design course will therefore prepare potential candidates for the said PI.
Course Overview
This course is to provide the candidate the knowledge to design electrical distribution system for domestic, commercial and industrial installations to ensure safety and proper functioning, and comply with the requirements of international design standards.
Course Objectives
The objectives of this course are listed below. 1. Design the electrical services and distribution system for domestic, industrial and commercial buildings complying with the design standards. 2. Apply international standards for the design and selection of electrical equipment for the intended use. 3. Understand the safety and functional requirements for electrical installations. 4. Identify the role of the design in the buildings and industrial processes
