1 Day Course on Integrated Security Management System Implementation Framework (Postponed until further notice)

SYNOPSIS

Critical infrastructures are vital as its incapacity or destruction have a debilitating impact on our country’s defense, economy and national security. These infrastructures require more detailed attention in their protective security management strategy and implementation. This session provides the implementation framework for Integrated Security Management System as part of the protective security management strategy in critical infrastructures. There are several studies on the positive impacts of using Integrated Security Management System for crime prevention and reduction but they are not without its flaws. The implementation framework helps designers and specifiers to address the issues and challenges of integrate security system designs in critical infrastructure by incorporating elements from other security domains, such as Policy, Physical, Personnel, Data, Document and Devices. Participants are also provided with the selection criteria that incorporate Integrated Security Management System that helps satisfies different security designs such as Ingress/Egress Control, Conduct Control, Deployment Flow Management, Registering Evidence or Audit trail and others.

BIODATA OF SPEAKERS

Mr. Chin Kokyu, Edmond, has vast working experience for the past 18 years in Bosch Security Systems, Honeywell Security, General Electric Security and UTC Fire and Security. He is actively involved in the development of new fire and security system and specializes in critical infrastructure. He was also invited as a guest speaker for several events: Fire & Safety Exhibition Malaysia, Fire Prevention Council and Singapore Hotel Association on Fire Safety Seminar. He has also participated in ISO 27001 Information Security Management System, guest trainer for the Chief Government Security Office as well as a technical committee for NKRA Safe City Project.  The following are some of the his previous involvement in Security Projects: Financial Institutions such as Citibank, Bank Mega Indonesia, Standard Charted Bank, Central Bank of Malaysia, Transportation such as MRT North East Line depot, Industrial Manufacturing on Dense Light Semiconductor, Pfizer Pharmaceutical Plant, Wyeth Pharmaceutical Plant.
