Synopsis : Introduction to the applicable Acts and Regulations for Renewable Energy, Feed-in Tariff Guidelines and Rules, Financing of RE Projects, and understanding the Technical Challenges of RE projects in Malaysia.
The electricity demand in Malaysia is anticipated to continue to rise in the next decade due to population growth and industrial development, and it is important for the nation to diversify its fuel mix to reduce the dependency on the fossil fuels. Hence, the Government has set a target for Renewable Energy to comprise 11% or 2080 MW of the overall electricity in the nation by 2020.
This forum is aim to share information on the following topics as well as to address the regular queries that have been raised by project developers, engineers and other stakeholders in the country:
