SYNOPSIS
Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a multi-stage tax on domestic consumption. It is also charged on importation of goods and services into Malaysia. Domestic consumption includes services provided by the professional. For better understanding on GST, the speaker will share on the requirement prior to become GST registered person. The talk will cover the topic such as the general concept, requirement for registration, accounting for tax, treatment for engineering services and preparation & readiness prior to the GST implementation.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER – PN. RAIZAM SETAPA
Raizam is graduated from UiTM and hold a Bachelor Degree in Law. Have been serving for almost 20 years in public sector and currently attached to Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Malaysia as a Senior Assistant Director in GST Special Task Unit.
