SYNOPSIS
Fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) has been used in Southeast Asia since 1990. With the recent publication of the Singapore Standard SS 674:2021, the use of fibre concrete has now start to increase.
This comes at a time when low-carbon concrete solutions are also being actively promoted. Low-carbon FRC mix design for precast segmental tunnel linings took about 8 months to be developed. This webinar will present the challenges in developing this high performing, durable and low-carbon footprint FRC mix design.
It will also show that by developing a high performing FRC mix design, the performance can be confidently repeated during production ensuring a structurally safe and econmocally sound precast segmental lining production.
