SYNOPSIS
As reported by Bernama on May 9, 2019, the government of Malaysia will introduce a new economic direction for the country to ensure that the people will enjoy shared prosperity, while resolving the current economic quagmire, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.
YB Tony Pua will give a talk on the above ‘Shared Prosperity’ initiative in the context of Malaysia Budget 2020, and how it will impact Malaysia's economy in the future.
He will share the threats, challenges and golden opportunities which have arisen from the new global economic landscape dominated by the US-China trade war.
Is it all gloom, or is there now a unique opportunity for Malaysia to transform our economy, launching us onto a new growth trajectory and breaking out of the middle income trap.
