SPEAKER’S BIODATA

Ts. Azah Ahmad is a Sr. Director, Strategic Planning Division, at Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA Malaysia). She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Ohio State University, USA 1998 and Master of Science in Energy Technology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2004. She has been with the renewable energy as well as energy efficiency industry for 17 years. Currently, she is in charge of Net-metering implementation, RE industry development & support as well as human capital development in RE.

Dr. Hoh Choon Yee is currently the Managing Director of Lipp Engineering Sdn. Bhd. He is a well regarded as technical and experienced person in the water and waste water engineering and Bio-Technology industry. Dr. Hoh obtained a Doctorate Degree in Bio-technology and Bachelor Degree in Bio-technology and Bachelor Degree in Computer Science in 1995, both from Murdoch University, Perth, Australia.

Mr. Alex Looi Tink Huey has two Bachelors' Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Software Engineering. He is the Head of Projects for Malim Consulting Engineers Sdn Bhd providing M&E consultancy services and turnkey project management for renewable energy power plants, commercial, and industrial developments. He also the current elected Committee Member of the IEM Electrical Engineering Technical Division (EETD).

Dr John Lee is currently the gas products sales manager at Caterpillar Asia. He was graduated from University of Washington in Mechanical Engineering in 2000. His expertise is in small to medium sized power generation systems using various types of gaseous fuels with focus on biogas.  He has worked with many CAT and MWM dealers and biogas technology providers, consultants, suppliers and financiers to complete and commercialize biogas projects throughout the Asia Pacific region.  His current interest and focus remains in biogas power generation CHP projects.

Mr. Jayson Wagler is currently the Asia Pacific Service Operations Manager, Caterpillar for gas electric power products.  He has twenty years of experience in the development and application of gaseous fueled engines and has worked on gas engine projects with Caterpillar customers and dealerships in the US, Europe, and Asian markets.

Mr. Holger Funke is an engineer with international experience in environmental engineering and related construction. His business experience with INPUT Ingenieure GmbH, Sehnde, Germany in engineering and construction of biogas plants around Germany and Vietnam. He was also part of Quoting team for wastewater treatment projects in Germany and Turkey.
