Synopsis

This seminar (Traffic Management at Work Zones (TMWZ)) is intended to provide and share the new requirements on Management of Traffic during Construction. Road safety during construction has become a sensitive issue and JKR has revised the Arahan Teknik Jalan ATJ2C/85 (Pindaan 2017) and also introduced a new specification on Traffic Management at Work Zones. This seminar is therefore ideal for Engineers and Industry Players involved in road and  highway design and construction including consultants and contractors.


Biodata of Speaker

Speaker 1 - Ir. Mohd Shahrom Ahmad Saman - B Eng (Hons), MSc.(Highway & Transport Engineering), P. Eng, MIEM, MREAAA. Ir. Mohd Shahrom Ahmad Saman graduated in Civil Engineering from Queens University of Belfast, United Kingdom in 1990. Later, he obtained his Masters Degree in Highway and Transport Engineering from UPM in 2003.
He has more than 26 years of working experience and currently heads the Road Safety Audit and Programs of PWD. He has played a key role in the development of road safety initiatives especially RSA and Accident ‘Blackspot’ Investigation & Countermeasure since 1997. Recently, he  is also involved in the development of action plans to improve the Traffic Management at Work Zones for JKR projects. He is an accredited Road Safety . He is actively involved in the development of guidelines and standards and have presented in many lectures/talks regarding road safety throughout the country.
 
Speaker 2 - Ir. Wan Abdul Rahman bin Wan Hassan obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Bradford, United Kingdom in 1984. He is  a qualified Knowledge Manager by KM International.
He has served more than 33 years with JKR in the field of Road and Building constructions. He has worked as District Engineer of Besut and Kota Bharu Kelantan and Senior Project manager for Project Terengganu Knowledge Park (Taman Ilmu)  and also as Senior General Manager for Project UDM (UNiSZa) Campus Besut. He is the Committee Chairman for the New ATJ2C/1985 (Pindaan 2017) and the New Specification SPJ Section 19 – Traffic Management at Work Zones. He is now heading the Standard and Innovation Section of Road and Bridge Engineering Department, Road Branch of JKR Malaysia.
 
Speaker 3 - Ir. Mohamed Shafii Mustafa  holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough Univ. of Technology. He also hold a Master Degree on Transportation Engineering from University of Oklahoma, USA. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the civil engineering industry in Malaysia especially under Public Works Department (PWD/JKR) and IKRAM. He has produced and presented  more than 30 technical papers at local and international conferences. He manage to co-autjored 3 books on Road pavements and Road Safety. He is currently an active Road Safety Auditor.
 
Speaker 4 – Ir. Razhiah binti Wahab holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University, South Carolina, USA and a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. She is a Profesional Engineer and Accredated JKR Malaysia Road Safety Auditor. Ir Razhiah has 33 years of experience in the Road Safety, Road Designs and project Management. She was involved in the development of TMP BQ and a number of other documents on Road Safety and design Guidelines.
She is currently the Senior Superindent Civil Engineer of Road Design Division (Central Region), Road Branch, JKR Malaysia.
