Beyond business, Honeywell Hometown Solutions is an award-winning organization that focuses on areas of vital importance to communities we serve. Together with leading public and non-profit institutions, Honeywell has developed powerful programs; and in Malaysia, this includes programs that help promote and increase awareness on the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) as well as the exciting career opportunities it creates. From 2010 to date, Honeywell has inspired more than 5000 students and teachers nationwide through various STEM initiatives and programs – including Honeywell’s Leadership Challenge Academy (HLCA), Honeywell Institute for Science and Engineering (HISE) as well as Honeywell Educators for Space Academy (HESA). On top of that, Honeywell’s commitment to the promotion of family safety and security saw the launch of the ‘Safe Kids at Home’ program, an educational safety program designed to help prevent fires, burns and scalds among young children in Malaysia. Since the launch, the program has reached out to 6000 students in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. For more news and information on Honeywell, please visit www.honeywell.com/newsroom
