SYNOPSIS

Building Information Modeling (BIM) had, recently, gain a lot of popularity and traction in the construction industry especially with the adoption of BIM e-submission to the local authorities in the near future. BIM involves the creating and management of information throughout the entire project life cycle. This workshop will concentrate only on the software portion of the BIM process.

In this workshop, the trainer will go through the process of creating BIM model using BricsCAD BIM. BricsCAD BIM used and stored file in native dwg format instead of other proprietary format and as such making it a familiar platform similar to traditional 2d drafting which translated to gentle learning curve. The workshop will also demonstrate how the BIM software could interact with other engineering calculation software such as Tekla in the process.

BriscCAD Shape, a free software, for creating 3D objects will also be introduced.

This COURSE will include:

 Brief introduction to BricsCAD BIM and Shape.
 Working with BricsCAD environment.
 Create BIM model.
 Interact with other BIM compliance software like Tekla, Scia Engineers etc
 BricsCAD to other CAD applications.

Mr Chee Shai Choon

Currently, Chee Shai Choon leads a group of software developers in C & S Software Solutions Sdn Bhd which incorporated in  year 2006. His clients mainly in Malaysia. He has been used BricsCAD since the version of V8. Latest edition of BricsCAD is V18. Initially he was jointed Bricsys as a developer of BricsCAD where he used it to build many utilities for BricsCAD. He can go into the API of BricsCAD to modify the BricsCAD environment to meet he own need. With the years with Bricsys, he has gained the trust from Bricsys where now he is a partner of Bricsys. Some of his products development had been listed in Bricsys Third parties’ development. He had participated in few BricsCAD Conference such as BricsCAD Asean Conference 2016 and Munich German 2015.
