SYNOPSIS
Ever wonder how rebar threading is made? What are the quality control measures on threading? Here is your rare opportunity to learn and understand in an intimate setting. The objective of this factory visit is to provide exposure to the importance of different types of rebar threading with different processes. The Halfen-Moment Group started its business in Malaysia, supplying mechanical couplers and rebar threading services to the building sites as a cost effective alternative for conventional splicing. One of our iconic projects was the Petronas Twin Towers. Supported by subsidiaries in Singapore, Philippines and India, we have positioned ourselves as a leading building solution provider for the concrete structure with an established and extensive network throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Certified with ISO 9001-2015 and 6S Safety Standards, the 22,000 sqft factory comes with 360° manufacturing capability from cutting, cold upsetting, threading and packing to shipping. The factory capacity is up to 1million threads a year and has the capability to manufacture a range of threading which meets the ISO 68-1: 1998 standards. The participants of this Factory Visit will have the opportunity to achieve the objectives below: 1) To provide exposure to the different types of rebar threading and the processes 2) To promote the different types of couplers as an alternative to lapped rebars 3) To create awareness on the importance of proof load test 4) To learn on the manufacture and assembly processes of other products such as, Corrugated Duct, Anchor Block and Plakabox (Reinforcement Continuity Systems)
