SYNOPSIS
An introduction to both Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) and Project Management Professional (PMP®) certifications, the most sought-after certifications in Project Management Institute’s® arsenal. The Project Management Institute (PMI®) has more than half a million members worldwide (in 208 countries) with 292 chartered chapters. There are more than 850,000 active PMP’s and more than 35,000 active CAPMs as of May 2018.
The talk will include the Benefits, Path to Certification, How to Apply, including benefits of becoming a PMI member. Estimated duration is 1.5 hours, inclusive of 15-20 mins of Q&A. Come and join us, not to learn only about the certifications, but also on the activities of the local chapter, PMI Malaysia.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Alvin Anand Arumugam Director of Public Relations, Project Management Institute, Malaysia Chapter (PMIMY)
Alvin has more than thirteen years of leadership experience and hands-on exposure as an ICT professional. He has held various regional responsibilities in MNCs, leading the support services business and project implementations. Operations, program and account management are his forte. Alvin has volunteered for PMI since 2015 and is the Director of Public Relations for the Malaysian Chapter.
Alvin is a Management post-graduate from University Malaya in year 2010 and obtained his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Hons) from University Technology Tun Hussein Onn in year 2004. He’s also an alumni of Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program. He pursued his interest in Project Management with PMP & PRINCE2 certifications.
