SYNOPSIS
An emergency situation is a condition that requires immediate attention and response to avoid or minimise the possibility of spiralling into a more fatal or dangerous, critical circumstances. Many Malaysians are unaware about the importance of prevention, preparation and preservation. The importance of crisis prevention is often neglected or ignored due to the lapse in understanding the consequences.
While there is nothing we can do about natural catastrophes, preparation is the best option we have. The consequences of ignorance and arrogance often proved apologetic and tragic, in which most cases could have been prevented or avoided should we Malaysians are well equipped with knowledge and skills to deal with situation when arises.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Lt-Col (Ret) Gabriel Lee Richard (BBA, BSC) is a decorated public speaker with a wealth of experience. He is the Head of Division, Operations, Training and Consultancy with Fire and Emergency Inspection Centre Malaysia. He has conducted various fire drills, lectures and provided safety consultancy to various industries, both public and private, Governmental and NGOs.
Lt-Col (Ret) Gabriel has also been an invited speaker for the Prime Minister Office in Singapore, the Supreme Court, Governmental Ministries such as the MOE, NIE, MHA, UK Ministry of Defence, NZ Ministry of Defence, Police Force, Gurkha Contingent, Army, Navy, Air force, Immigration Offices, Hospitals, Universities and corporate entities to mention a few across borders.
Lt-Col (Ret) Gabriel is the senior training consultant for various fire, emergency and crisis response centres in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia and China. A volunteer with the Burnt Support Unit with SGH, Lt-Col (Ret) was trained and presented with certificates by the SCDF with merits in first aid modules, CPR, fire safety, crisis and emergency evacuation procedures, conventional and unconventional warfares and threats modules. A retired Lt-Col (NS) with the Army, Gabriel aims to work closely and share his knowledge with the general public at large towards a fire hazard free environment.
