SYNOPSIS
2020 IECEx National Virtual Conference is an important event which allows you to gain expert insight on the latest electrotechnical standards, technology, best practices, accelerating improvements in standards and regulations, and engineering challenges & opportunities with participants from engineering professionals, government officials & policy makers, standards organisations, manufacturers, suppliers & solution providers, owners & operators (industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, plastics, solvents & paints, pharmaceutical, metal processing, vehicle manufacturing, food processing, etc.) on all aspects of Electrical Equipment and Installations in Hazardous Areas.
Jointly organised by the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and Standards Malaysia and Petronas,the conference intends to provide an effective platform to drive cross-border flows and mobility of engineering technology and services, to share and exchange knowledge and experiences, as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of electrical equipment and installations in hazardous, flammable, or explosive atmosphere which includes gases, vapours, mists and dusts.
The virtual conference will feature keynotes and presentations on the following themes: IECEx Global Certifications & Current Trends; IECEx Electrical Installations Design and Selection; MRO of Ex Equipment; Area Classification & Protection Techniques; and IECEx Certification of Personnel Competence.
One of the highlights of the virtual conference is the panel discussion on "IECEx Global Supply Chains, COVID-19 Impact on the Energy Sector, Opportunities & Challenges", which is designed to create an impact to connect the participants with industry experts in an interactive and engaging environment.
