Nominations for Election to Fill Vacancies for Session 2025/2026 of Women Engineers Section Committee The Committee for session 2025/2026 of the Women Engineers Section will end its term of office on 25th July 2026. An Annual General Meeting will be held in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Section to elect new Committees.
According to Bylaw 9, the election of the Chairman shall be conducted by Committee Members in a meeting held before the Annual General Meeting. She shall be elected from amongst members of past or present committees. Thus, we wish to announce that during the 144th meeting of Women Engineers Section held on 10th Jun 2026, Committee unanimously decided that Ir. Prof. Dr. Zuhaina Binti Zakaria to continue for the post of Chairman for session 2026/2027. Also, Ir. Dr Mah Siew Kien has been successfully elected to the post Chair Elect for the Session 2026/2027.

Each member of the Women Engineers section may nominate and/or second candidates and such nominations in writing must be submitted together with the written consent of the nominee. Nomination forms are available for downloading from the IEM website at www.myiem.org.my or a copy can be obtained from the IEM Secretariat in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This Nomination Form together with a Passport-sized photograph and bio-data in respect of the candidate(s) nominated shall be submitted in an envelope marked "Confidential WE Nomination Paper" and sent to Ir. Rusnida bt Talib, The Hon. Secretary, IEM WE Section, Lots 60 & 62, Jalan 52/4, P.O. Box 223 (Jalan Sultan), 46720 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan not later than 12.00 noon on Thursday, 16th July 2026.
