HRD Corp understands the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economy and taking note of the demand from the affected industries. Therefore, discussions with KSM were held to ensure the expansion of the PSMB Act,  2001 can be implemented well in the current economic situation. In this regard, the Honorable Minister of Resources Humans have agreed to give exemption from the payment of levy to employer based on the conditions as below:

a. Employers covered under the First Scheduled Amendment Order, PSMB, 2011 (P.U. (A) 84/2021) commencing 1 March 2021

b. The employer belongs to para (a) and is REGISTERED with HRD Corp before 1 July 2021 is eligible for levy exemption as stated, and

c. The levy exemption period starts from 1 June 2021 to 31 December 2021

Perluasan Akta Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) 612 Bagi Sektor Pembinaan

The "Pelaksanaan Perintah Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad" (exemption of levy) 2021 effective from 1 March 2021 is postponed to 31 December 2021 to the industry players in construction. However, this exemption is only valid to the construction companies who are registered with PSMB before 30 June 2021.
