Motor Insurance Renewal by Zurich
We are pleased to provide herewith an update on Motor Insurance and Road Tax Renewal announced by PIAM.
Please note that: - A valid motor insurance policy is a prerequisite for the Ministry of Transport (MoT) to grant deferment for driving licence and/or road tax expiring during the MCO period.
- Expired licence and/or road tax must be renewed within 30 days after the MCO is lifted.
- MoT has confirmed that commencement of the renewed licence and/or road tax will be backdated to the original expiry date to coincide with insurance coverage.
- During this deferment period a motorist is allowed to continue driving as long as the motor insurance policy is in force and the e-cover note is carried in the vehicle as evidence of insurance coverage.
Thank you and IEM hope that you will stay safe and healthy.
