The "Koon Yew Yin Scholarship for Foundation in Science" has been established from the donation contributed by Mr. Koon Yew Yin. This scholarship is open to students residing in Perak in pursuing full time Foundation in Science programme. The applicants would need to comply with the terms and conditions below to apply for this scholarship:

Eligibility Criteria

1. Must be a Malaysian citizen residing in Perak Darul Ridzuan.
2. Have completed SPM with at least 6A.
3. Actively involved in extra-curriculum activities.
4. Have obtained admission to study for the Foundation in Science programme in any of the public Universities in Malaysia, including Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).
5. Have not been bonded or received any form of financial assistance from any other organization.
6. From underprivileged family with a household income of less than RM3,000 per month.

Successful Applicant

1. Scholarship covers Full Tuition Fees 
2. Maximum tenure of scholarship is ONE YEAR 

The selection criteria is based on applicant’s financial need and not on academic achievement.
