ABOUT FEIAP
FEIAP is an international non-profit professional organization. It was formerly named the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Southeast Asia and the Pacific (FEISEAP), which was founded in July 1978. Being an independent umbrella organization for the engineering institutions in the Southeast Asia and the Pacific region, the objectives of FEISEAP was to encourage the application of technical progress to economic and social advancement throughout the world; to advance engineering as a profession in the interest of all people; and to foster peace throughout the world.

 ABOUT XI’ AN

Xi'an is the capital of Shaanxi Province, China. A sub-provincial city on the Guanzhong Plain in northwestern China,[4] it is one of the oldest cities in China, and the oldest of the Four Great Ancient Capitals, having held the position under several of the most important dynasties in Chinese history, including Western Zhou, Qin, Western Han, Sui, and Tang. Xi'an is the starting point of the Silk Road and home to the Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.

CONVENTION MAIN THEME

Mutual Recognition of Engineering Education

All papers related to the main theme are welcome. Authors could submit papers based on the topics listed below :

1. How to develop the Engineering Education in the Belt & Road Region
2. How to promote the mobility of the engineering personnel and students in the Belt & Road Region
3. How to promote the Mutual Recognition of Engineering Education Programs among the Universities in the Belt & Road Region

Those interested can submit the papers to the FEIAP IEM Secretariat at aer@iem.org.my . For details please call +60 3-79684010.

IEM Education Fund Board will consider sponsoring two (2) authors for the Convention. Authors who want sponsorship must submit papers to IEM for vetting and acceptance and IEM will send accepted papers to the Organisers. Papers send directly to the Organisers and accepted will not be sponsored by IEM. Authors may submit the papers directly to yanglujing@nwpu.edu.my if you do not require sponsorship from IEM.

ACTIVITIES

Technical tours will be scheduled for all participants during the convention. IEM will be arranging a One-Day tour of Xian, China on 28 June 2019 and the expenses will be borne by the participant. For further information, please contact FEIAP Secretariat at aer@iem.org.my or call +60 3-79684010 

1. Accommodation: either single or twin sharing at Shangri-la Hotel in Xi’An for 4 days 3 nights stay with breakfast.
2. Tour: One day Tour on 28 June 2019 to Big Wild Goose Pagoda (excludes tower climb), visit Terracotta soldiers and horses, City Wall and Muslim Street, Oldest Mosque in the world.  (There will be no shopping stop during the tour).
3. Transportation: Transportation will be provided for the tour as well as for the arrival and departure..
4. Entrance Fee: The entrance fees for all the tour places stated above.
5. Local Tour Guide: English speaking tour guide.
6. Meals: Lunches and dinners are provided for participants attending conference and meetings from 28th till 30th June 2019.
7. China Visa Application Fee: Single entry and standard application process time.
