SYNOPSIS
UEM Edgenta is committed to using research and innovation to meet the challenges of delivering more efficient and safer pavements. Asphalt industry has a significant environmental impact in terms of carbon footprint, use of oil-based products and quarried materials. It is incumbent upon us to seek new and innovative ways to mitigate this impact through advancement of technology.
Pavement Research Centre (PRC) has been set up as part of UEM Edgenta Research and Development Centre which is located at Bukit Beruntung. The objective is to carry out Research and Development (R&D) on innovative pavement materials and advanced maintenance techniques. The R&D work is focussed on developing new asphalt mixes with and without Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). This will help to save cost and minimize environmental impact.
