SYNOPSIS
With emergence of Eurocode 7: Geotechnical Design in 2004, review on applicability of limit state to geotechnical designs had taken place in various countries including Malaysia. This presentation will share some case history studies on foundation using design EN 1997-: Eurocode 7: Geotechnical design on spun pile foundation and bored pile foundation. Design approaches using Eurocode 7 on spun piles and bored piles foundation in comparison with foundation design approach using British Standard will be shared in the presentation. In addition, instrumented test piles results will also be shared on verifying performance of foundation designed by Eurocode 7.
