SYNOPSIS
Defibrillators are often depicted as the go to machine to resuscitate a patient in a television serial, drama or movie. A long beep with a long wavy line on the patient monitor and as the tension mounts, nurses or doctors place paddles onto the chest and administer an electric shock which makes the patient bounce vertically in the air. These memories make some people wary of defibrillators, yet it is critical to the survival of someone experiencing cardiac arrest. This technical talk will give you the ins and out of the defibrillator and giving you a better ice breaking session with the unsung hero – Defibrillator
