This webinar will cover topic on PC-based controller which introduce combination of both the Automation technology and IT into a single platform to promote on the openness, easiness and integrate-able solution.

Added with the continuous development of the Industry 4.0 or Industrial Internet of the Things (IIOT) related libraries, such as MQTT, Analytical and Machine Learning features, the PC-based solution has emerged as part of the core requirement in this control platform selection to achieve the objective of this journey. At the end of presentation, there will be a live demo to conceptualize this idea and concept.

Lam is currently Product Specialist for Industry PC at Beckhoff Automation. An experienced Design Electrical Engineer by nature that started his career 19 years ago. Been working with solution providers in the industrial automation industry such as Cheng Hua Engineering (material handling system) , Sysnet (System Integrator & trading), Eplan Software & Services (Germany engineering design software). Wide range of projects that he was involved in include KLIA baggage handling system, Proton City body & Paint shop, Inpex oil & Gas project.

Lee Yen Hong

Mr Lee Yen Hong has 10 years of varied experience in industrial automation & in the training field. He has obtained his degree in University of Applied Science in Hochschule Offenbury, Germany specialising in Industrial Information Technique & Automation covering wide spectrum on production motion control, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming & drive. Mr Lee is also a certified Trainer with HRDF (Human Resources Development Fund, Malaysia).

In 2015, he was given the portfolio to oversee the sales department with Beckhoff Malaysia. He has wide experience in Factory Automation ranging from industrial segments of electronic, semicon, hard-disc, automotive, materials handling among others. He is also engaging closely with the clients on the consultation and the proposal of Smart factory of Industrial Internet of Thing (IIOT) or Industrie 4.0 concept using PC-based platform. In tandem with the paradigm shift of technology towards using cyber physical system, PC-based platform with the openness and highly integrable industry protocols enable the implementation of this concept at ease.

Harry is currently Product Specialist for Automation Software (TwinCAT) at Beckhoff Automation where Harry provide technical support for TwinCAT, software development and project management. Prior to joining Beckhoff Malaysia, Harry has been working for 7 years with solution providers in the industrial automation industry such as Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Semicon, Oil and Gas and etc.
