SYNOPSIS

The objective of this forum is to discuss about harnessing digitalization and technology in facing the Covid-19 pandemic.

The questions that may be answered during the forum are:

1. What is your role or your company's role with regards to Digitalization in facing the
    unprecedented scenarios like this Covid-19 pandemic?
2. How is the support from the government regarding Digitalization in the current scenario?
3. What are the challenges/dangers that your company faces in harnessing Digitalization?
4. What skills are required by engineers to prepare them in surviving the unprecedented
    scenarios like we are facing today during pandemic?
5. What are the social challenges that we anticipate due to the Digitalization?
6. How will digitalization shape the education and commercial landscape in the next 5 years?


PANELIST BIODATA

Mr. Hizam Ghazali is a professional and senior manager of 20 years, in business management having held responsibilities and company-wide digital transformation, operating model and process simplification, B2B technology based business development, mass market customer experience management, digital marketing and business process outsourcing with entrepreneurial experience. He is currently the General Manager/ Head IT Solutions & Design in Telekom Malaysia, who responsible for the design of fitfor-purpose and fit-for-use IT solutions. Prior to that, he was the General Manager, Digital services who responsible for developing and execution of TM's digital transformation and driving the company-wide Simplification and Digital Empowerment program. Prior to joining Telekom Malaysia, he was with American Express, VADS and Telecontinent Sdn Bhd.

Mr. Abdul Karim Fakir Ali rejoined Maxis in January 2014 as the Head of Network all the way from Bangkok, where he held Senior Vice President Network Services position in DTAC Thailand with primary role to support business while developing the local engineers and was promoted to Chief of Network (CNO) of Maxis in 2020. As the Chief Network Officer of Maxis Berhad, he is responsible in the strategy development, implementation and operations of the overall Maxis Network. He is also passionate in supporting the growth of industry's capabilities which is align to the digitalization and automation ambition/starategy within Maixs. with over 25 years of vast experience in both Network and IT system for Mobile and Fixed communication.

Mr. Sanjay Vaghasia a seasoned senior executive in the telecommunications industry, having over 26+ years of global experience and 10 years in various CxO positions. Having worked in multiple companies at different stages of their journey and in varying market conditions, Sanjay brings unique international expertise in managing organisations that have complex operational, regulatory, and market challenges. Sanjay has a reputation for building a strong organization and leadership capability, comprising of global citizens.
