SYNOPSIS

Ever stop and ponder why some people write more beautifully than others?

Are Calligraphy, Lettering, and Typography same and interchangeable?

Is calligraphy a fine art, like painting, sculpture, drawing or photography?

What are the major and popular calligraphy forms in the world?

It has been said that Chinese calligraphy focuses not only on methods of writing 書法  but also on cultivating one‘s character  人品  and taught as a pursuit. Why?

These are some of many other questions to be explored in this Knowledge Sharing Session No. 1. If time permits, live Chinese brush calligraphy would be demonstrated.
