SYNOPSIS
Electrical, electronic and computer technology and engineering sector is a fast growing, vibrant and promising industry in Palestine despite the fact that the Palestinian territories are illegally occupied by the Israeli Authority. On the other hand, during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis, the challenges faced by the Palestinians in this sector, across genders, increased, taking into account that both play important roles in upbringing the sector. However, in the perspective of project management leadership and engineering practices in Palestine, the disease outbreak increases particularly the Palestinian women’s workloads and decreases the ability to balance their time among spheres. For Palestinians who undertake paid employment in project management and engineering field, managing these multiple responsibilities has become increasingly difficult especially under various restrictions imposed by the Israeli Authority. This webinar hence aims at opening the eyes on the genderism inequality in project management and engineering field in Palestine, while at the same time empowering Palestinians in project management and engineering practices amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Being an engineer by education, and in the capacity and experience of the speaker in different managing positions in Palestine, through this webinar, the speaker will apply the understanding of the different styles of leadership across genders in the project management and engineering processes as well as the best project management leadership and engineering skills. This is substantial as project management leadership and organisation management are concerned with the skills involving positive direction of technical organisations and motivation of the employees.
