SYNOPSIS

Rapid improvement of global logistics has allowed for a more connected world, and consumers are now spoilt for choice, building material is no exception. Contributed by this fact, we now find ourselves looking at a gazillion of brochures for a simple product but knowing very little about how to choose the right one. Eventually we will be paralysed by all the information and make judgement only based on convenience and luck.

The use of metal roof and wall cladding in construction has now become a norm, especially when compared to the early 1970s when it was just coming into the scene.  Today, metal roof and wall cladding are used extensively for buildings meant for aerospace, commercial, institutional, residential and industrial applications.

To a large extent, the corrugation profiles of metal roof and wall cladding are of shallow depths. Only a select few profiles are of high or deep corrugations. These products lend a strong character to the building. Not only are they aesthetically distinctive, they also allow for superb rainwater runoff in the heaviest of rainfalls, savings in supporting structure and shortened construction time.

This seminar will explain the benefits of using deep corrugations metal roof and wall cladding in greater detail and diving into specifications and usage of coated steel in a building, as well as other building accessories and aim to equip you with a formula to ask the right questions.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

1) MR. JACK CHUM

MR. JACK CHUM has spent over 16 years in steel related industries since graduated from University Sains Malaysia (USM). In his career, he has been involved in Process Improvement, Quality Assurance, Product Failure Analysis, Product Specification and Product Development portfolio.
 
He is actively involved with professional bodies such as Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and government bodies such as Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) in conducting technical seminar regarding coated steel for metal roofing, wall cladding and light weight structural steel application.


2) MR. ZAIDI SEMAIL

MR. ZAIDI SEMAIL has many years of work experience as Design Engineer and Plant Manager. In the year 2000 he joined United Seasons Sdn Bhd, and is now the General Manager where he manages a strong team of well trained sales and marketing executives.

Encik Zaidi’s forte is in market development and has been responsible for the Company’s business progress in overseas. His vast exposure in the metal roofing industry has given him the opportunity to have a good understanding of the various types of metal roof profiles. His appreciation of roofing profiles with deep corrugations is best explained in this seminar..
