SYNOPSIS
The Coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on Malaysian public transport and more people started showing a tendency toward cars. There are two scenarios, do nothing and this will lead to more people driving to their work. Or, we can seize this opportunity to improve public transport to make it safe, resilient and more reliable as well as boost the infrastructure for active transport mode, walking and cycling. In this talk, the speaker will share with the audience about the strategy moving forward with recommended measurements for the transport hub to adopt in order to reduce the rate of coronavirus transmission.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Dr. Rosli Azad Khan - Formerly vice president of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (FCILT) for three terms (2013 – 2018). - He has more than 35 years of industrial experience including business consultancy especially in transportation, traffic and logistics sectors covering various modes of transport such as air, land, rail and sea. - His experience covers international logistics such as ports & shipping, traffic planning in highways, high speed rail, MRT, LRT shipyard & maritime studies, ferries & cruise, oil & gas, container trade and urban transportation studies.
