SYNOPSIS
WHILE we have to accept that a lot of people are affected economically due to Covid-19, this cannot continue as every individual must accept the change that has come with it. The 'new normal' in 2020 will demand a new and more flexible approach to weather the storm of the pandemic.
Malaysia kicked off the new year bursting with energy and determination. Indeed, 2020 was supposed to be a milestone year for Malaysians - with everyone hoping to make great strides forward - and propelling our digital nation further along the trajectory to becoming a more developed nation on the world's stage.
However, as we all now know, the entire world was caught off-guard by the unprecedented health crisis brought on by the novel coronavirus virus (SARS-CoV-2), which causes the Covid-19 disease. In addition to the ensuing panic, the world economy has come to a virtual halt as the spread of Covid-19 has single-handedly disrupted the world.
In this sharing session, participants will be exposed with the overview of global & domestic Covid-19 situation, what will be the new norm look like, the demand of technology & talent post Covid-19, top five (5) essential job skills needed for young & future engineer’s and also about social hybrid engineer’s!
By the end of the talk, participants will appreciate on adapting into operating within a new digital framework as a direct result of the impact of Covid-19. Also, they will understand on how their commitment to combat this pandemic, to help industry, and the nation move forward – will bring our nation stronger than ever before or stronger as one!
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Prof. Madya Ir. Dr. Mohd Huzaimy
Ir Dr Mohamad Huzaimy bin Jusoh is currently an Associate Professor at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam. He is also the Director of Center for Satellite Communication in UiTM. Other than his career at university, he holds positions as Visiting Engineer and Technical Consultant at several companies in special projects such as energy management, safety, and development of advanced technical projects. He has experience in leading a Malaysian Scientific Expedition to Antarctic in 2016 and was the Head of UiTM Nanosatellite project (UiTMSAT-1) which successfully launched to space in 2018. With his interest in young engineer and human capital development, he is currently involving with IEM Student Society at FKE UiTM as advisor since year 2016.
