SYNOPSIS
Currently the world is faced with a pandemic of COVID 19, the dos and don’ts have been well published, just follow accordingly. There are other hazards within our home, without any doubts everyone is concerned about SAFETY of their family. What is safety? Reference to ISO31000 Risk Management standard, in the home context and in simple term ALL YOUR 5 Senses are in good condition at all times, this is the criteria of being safe at home. If any of the hazards which are in the house or surrounding which could cause any of your senses to be affected, then there are safety issues in the house.
Generally speaking, it had been said that the general public tolerance of fire risk is rather high many would think that fire incident would not happen in their house or they have fire insurance of the house so there is no need to worry. In this respect you probably had seen when there is a Fire Drill rehearsal at your workplace one would notice the employees would take fire drill very lightly and are reluctant to participate in the exercise.
The hazards which your family are exposed within the house are probably treated as pure common sense to the matured and experienced person but this may not be true to the spouse, children and older parents. At work most of us would advocate safety TRAINING for the subordinates and their attendance recorded as proof. Training is unlikely to happen at home and many leave it to chance.
