SYNOPSIS
Ecology is synonymous with preservation, protection or safeguarding. It is beyond doubts that perseveration or conservation of ecology is paramount to ensure a sustainable world. Development will continue as mankind progresses towards modernization and industrialization, and these can be at logger head with ensuring sustainability. The urge for sustainable development is becoming increasingly strong and as such clear sustainable mindset, rather “environmentalistic” slogans without solutions, is a necessity. Engineers need to see the forest rather than focusing on purely solving technical issue which are devoid of considerations of social, environment, health, economics and/or legal aspects. The topic “Ecotechment” in water and environment will expound on the relevancies of the interactions of technical and management solutions in the modern days and the preservation of the Ecology that is sustaining us at present, and the coming uncertain future.
