SYNOPSIS
Three (3) segments of Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) panel expectation is the scope of evaluation in which the aspect that guides the panel during their assignment. The segments represent the criteria need to have and must be discussed thoroughly in the self-assessment report (SAR). The attainment criteria mentionedin the EAC manual reflects quality of the programme. The chapter under each criteria in SAR is comprised of three components which are Establishment, Assessment, and CQI. EAC evaluation panel will do their evaluation assessment based on three aspects. During this session, The speaker will highlight the importance of an academic management system inline to the EAC criteria which helps to produce high quality students with defined IEA attributes. The IHL should have one model of the academic management system to support the best practices implementation and adhere to international standards. The session will help the IHL to prepare quality SAR decument as well as preparing them for accreditation visit.
SPEAKER BIODATA
Mohammad Syuhaimi Ab-Rahman began his career at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), in mid-2007 as a lecturer and appointed as a senior lecturer in early 2008 as well as a Deputy Dean Academic in Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. In January 2010, he was appointed as Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Systems. His specialization is in the field of electronic engineering specifically in optical communication system.
He has been involved in many impact researches, academic writing, teaching, supervision, leadership positions, registered prototype and innovation, policy development and community services. He was promoted to full Professor at the age of 33 years old; which is very young and rare in Malaysia. This has demonstrated his outstanding personality and contribution to the field of science and technology.
