Title: POWERING MALAYSIAN ROOF
Synopsis As solar requires large area of land, and in the context of rainforest countries Malaysia is in the risk of deforestation and contributing to higher earth’s temperature. The next available large area is the roofs. This talk will cover the possibilities of convergence the function of roof as weather shielding and as the source of electricity generation. The convergence also includes the introduction of the concept of Smart Solution Switchgear to harness the cumulation of electricity from various houses’ roofs to energy storage, for optimising the load demand and less dependent to the grid supply.

Title: 3S – SOLAR, STABILITY AND STORAGE
Synopsis Solar photovoltaic (PV) is designed to produce electricity from the sun to supply power for residential, industrial and commercial buildings. They need solar panels to install on your roof, land or car park for example to generate electricity. Solar PV in Malaysia usually sell electricity to the grid instead of generate power individually using solar stand-alone or hybrid system. In order to sell power to the grid, they must first get an approval from Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia and Energy Commission (EC).
Solar PV installation has become more popular and and give a lot of benefits and efficiency. Do you know how solar PV works? What type of solar PV system available? What is the benefit that you will get by installing solar PV system? How do you maintain your solar PV for the next 20 years? Is storage the solution for future energy technology? The speaker will explain the fundamental of solar PV system with its stability and storage technology.
