SYNOPSIS
Construction Industry Development Board was establish under the Construction Industry Development Board Act 1994 (Act 520) to regulate, develop and facilitate the construction industry towards achieving global competitiveness.
The construction industry has undergone accelerated evolution, driven by technology and innovation. Several factors are considered in the industry way to construct faster and better while improving cost efficiency and sustainability. CIDB’s proactive measure resulted in identifying and promoting proven system – Industrial Building System (IBS) and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
The Construction Industry Transformation Programme (CITP) was developing to address the issues in the industry and also to enact a transformation of the industry into one which is modern and updated. Central to this the CITP’s aim to become the catalyst for generating a succession of interlinked multiplier effects on a host of sectors, to help transform Malaysia to be a developed nation with a sustainable high-income economy.
In line with the implementation of the CITP, CIDB collaborates with MyBIM Centre are initiating to provide the Building Information Training (BIM) which is called as Affordable BIM Training (ABT). This program is mainly targeting the industry player such as Contractors, Architect, Engineer, Surveyor etc. to learn the process of implementing the BIM process including the usage of tools and managing the construction site by using the knowledge of BIM.
NOTE: The visit is strictly limited to only thirty (30) participants registered and fully paid on a first-come, first-served basis
