SYNOPSIS

PETRONAS ROTATING EQUIPMENT ANALYTICS (PROTEAN) Solution: It’s an in-house Predictive Maintenance solution for Rotating Equipment to identify anomalies trends, highlight potential incipient failures & identify opportunities for reliability improvement. PROTEAN utilized existing PI data from remote facilities. The data will be analyzed within PI AF software suite running various analytics  and subsequently  alert the user for any changes and potential threat to the machine.  Alerts are visualized though PI Notification and further to this shown on a unique dashboard which will also show system and unit health. The end state is to monitor the asset from a central location, partnering software solutions with predictive capabilities with analytics experts trained to convert small anomalies in industrial data into actionable early warnings of potential failure. PROTEAN has been recognized as one of leading digital solutions within PETRONAS and integral part of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 journey. Relevancy to Mechanical discipline since the remote monitoring and predictive analytics are for mechanical rotating equipment.
