SYNOPSIS:-

Is entrepreneurship and leadership an art or a science? Ngian Siew Siong spent 27 years with the Sunway Group. He Joined Sunway Group in 1985, and founded the Property Development Division. He has built the Division (Sunway City Bhd) from scratch and spearheaded it to become an award-winning developer today. Ngian will share his experience about entrepreneurship and leadership, especially the culture and characteristics of the founder of the Sunway Group.

He will illustrate on how entrepreneurship and leadership have driven a small tin mining company in the eighties to become a successful conglomerate today. Listen to find out what qualities will distinguish you as an entrepreneur and leader.


SPEAKER BIODATA

Mr. Ngian is an engineer by training and started his career with the Government followed by a short stint as a Consulting Engineer before embarking on a career in Property Development. He worked for MBF Group Property Division for 6 years before moving to Sunway Group in 1985 to start the Property Development Division. Mr. Ngian drove Sunway City Bhd (the Group Property Division) into a renowned Top Property Developer well known for its Innovation & Customer Service.

After 27 years of service with the Sunway Group, he retired in 2012 as the Managing Director - International Division. After his retirement, Mr. Ngian served as Advisor to Chairman/Group Managing Director of 2 property PLCs for 3 years.

Currently, he is an Independent Non-Executive Director of IFCA MSC Bhd and Nam Long Investment Corporation (A Property Development Company listed in the Hanoi Stock Exchange) as well the COO of GLOMAC Bhd.  He is also a National Council Member of REHDA Malaysia (Real Estate & Housing Developers Association) as well as the Past Chairman of REHDA Selangor and was a Board member of LPHS (Lembaga Perumahan & Hartanah Selangor).

Well known in the Property Industry with a passion to develop TALENT, Product & Procession Innovation, and Sustainable Development, Mr. Ngian is regularly featured in the media. He is also a well-known speaker on topics related to Sustainable Development/Green Building and Knowledge Management and has frequently been invited as speaker by ASLI, RISM, Petronas Training Centre and IBM.
